A Petersburg man suffered fatal injuries late Wednesday when his rig traveled out of control on state Route 55 and crashed down an embankment, according to West Virginia State Police.
The driver was identified as Troy Allen Ours, 52., who was pronounced dead at the scene of the 11:23 p.m. crash.
Police said Ours was operating a tractor-trailer with a load of live chickens westbound near the Fort Run Road intersection when he lost control of the vehicle, causing it to travel down an embankment and roll onto the driver's side.
Ours was employed by M&M Trucking and was working and operating a company vehicle at the time of the crash.
