SHAFTSBURY, VT : Two-car crash on Route 7A on Thursday, 21st June 2018

State Police report a two-vehicle crash at about 1:50 p.m. Thursday on Route 7A near the Governor's Rock Motel.

Trooper Thomas Sandberg said an investigation revealed that a 2006 Nissan XTerra, driven by Zachary Ronnow, 20, of Williamstown, Mass., attempted to turn southbound onto Route 7A from a driveway and collided with a 2000 Toyota Sienna, driven by Keith W. Johnson, 58, of Bennington.

Sandberg said Ronnow's view was obstructed in turning onto the highway. Johnson was northbound, the trooper said, and the driver "did not activate his brakes in time to avoid colliding with" the other vehicle.
