Weaverville, CA : Three-vehicle collision slows Hwy. 299 traffic in Trinity County on Wednesday, November 12, 2014

One-way traffic control was in effect for more than hour tonight on Highway 299 just east of Wendy Lane in Trinity County due to a three-vehicle collision. The California Highway Patrol website says a head-on collision occurred about 5 p.m. when a red pickup was hit after it swerved in front of a UPS semi-truck. A car also was hit in the collision. The roadway was cleared at 6:40 p.m. A sweeper from the California Department of Transportation was requested to move more than 150 feet of glass off the roadway. Caltrans was going to use a loader to push the semi off the highway, the CHP website says. Minor injuries were reported, according to the CHP.
