Glencoe, MN : Silver Lake woman injured in accident on Monday, July 17, 2017

Rita Ann Worshek, 68, of Silver Lake, was injured this morning (Monday) in a two-vehicle crash on Highway 7 near Hamlet Avenue, east of Silver Lake. The accident was reported at 10:19 a.m.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol, Worshek was westbound on Highway 7 in a 2000 Buick Regal and had slowed down to turn left onto Hamlet Avenue when a 1999 Kenworth truck, driven by John Albert Koch, 64, of Winsted, rear-rended the Buick, causing it to leave the roadway and go into a ditch.
Worshek was taken by ambulance to the Hutchinson Health Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. Koch was not injured. Both drivers were wearing seatbelts.
Assisting at the accident were the McLeod County Sheriff’s Office, Silver Lake Fire Department, Silver Lake Ambulance and Allina Ambulance, as well as the Minnesota Department of Transportation.
