Madison,WI : Car crashes through house wall, driver suffers minor injuries, Madison Fire says on January, Saturday 6th 2018

A driver suffered minor injuries Saturday night when she wasn't able to stop her car in the garage and it crashed through a wall at a house on the city's Far West Side.

The crash was reported at about 7:30 p.m. in the 8500 block of Blackwolf Drive, the Madison Fire Department said.

A medical alarm sent firefighters to the residence, where a woman was found sitting in the passenger seat of the car.

"She said her brake pedal would not work, causing her vehicle to crash through the wall and into the house," said spokeswoman Cynthia Schuster.


The woman was taken by paramedics to a local hospital, suffering from minor injuries.

Firefighters then inspected the house to see if anyone else was inside, and also checked for electrical problems or leaks.

That section of the house and garage had power cut off so repairs could be made.

The crash caused an estimated $20,000 in damage.
