Police say a Phoenix taxi driver was drunk when he crashed his vehicle into the rear-bumper of an ambulance.

According to multiple reports, the taxi and ambulance pulled into a nearby parking lot after the Thursday crash before the Joel Honeycutt fled on foot, leaving an injured passenger at the scene.

Police caught the driver a short time later and administered a breathalyzer test. Honeycutt’s blood alcohol concentration was 0.21, which police say qualifies as a super extreme DUI.
