Houston, TX : 1 killed when car crashes into Kingwood yard on Saturday, 20th August, 2016

A man was killed when he lost control of his car in north Houston and ended up crashing through a fence into someone's backyard.
The accident happened around 12:20 a.m. at Kingwood Drive and Shady Run. According to authorities, a male driver was speeding west on Kingwood Drive when he veered off the road, hit a tree, crashed through a wood fence into someone's back yard. The car landed on its roof.
The driver died at the scene. No immediate signs of alcohol were present, but police said speeding played a major role in the crash.
The driver's identity was not provided.
