Victoria, TX : Man hurt in US 59 crash in front of Holt Rentals on Tuesday afternoon, August 9, 2016

A southbound GMC truck struck a cushion truck Tuesday afternoon that was protecting a smaller convoy spraying weeds on the inside lane of U.S. 59 in front of Holt Rentals.

The driver of the GMC truck, who was driving in the outside lane, attempted to pass another vehicle and rear-ended the cushion truck, spinning it and causing it to hit another vehicle. The crash occurred about 1 p.m.

The driver of the GMC was taken to Citizens Medical Center with a cut to one of his arms. The driver of the other vehicle was unhurt and able to drive her vehicle.

Names of the drivers involved were not immediately available.

Officer Bryan Knief, of the Victoria Police Department, is investigating the crash.
