Watkinsville ,GA : Victim of fatal wreck identified on October, Saturday 21th 2017

The pedestrian that was struck by a 2007 Nissan Sentra Saturday night has been identified as Richard Charles Taylor, 63.
Taylor's residence is unknown, said Cpl. Rhett Parker of Georgia State Patrol.
Conrad Martin Bober, 24, of Watkinsville, has been charged with hit and run resulting in serious injury or death.
Bober allegedly struck Taylor with his 2007 Nissan Sentra. After the initial collision, Bober did not stop at the scene immediately, said Parker. Bober drove away from the scene and stopped off VFW Drive to call 911 to report the incident.
During that time, Taylor was struck by a minimum of four cars, said Parker.
Those four drivers remained on the scene, and no charges were brought against any of those drivers.
Based on the sequence of events, it’s undetermined at this time if the initial collision caused the death of the victim.
Witnesses to the incident who wish to seek trauma counseling can contact Oconee County Sheriff Scott Berry at sberry@oconeesheriff.org.
"Please put 'crash witness' in the title of the email so I can get it forwarded to the appropriate people," Berry said in a public statement.
In 2016, there were 2,167 wrecks in the county, five of which involved fatalities, according to the Sheriff’s Office. Through July of 2017, there were 1,261 wrecks, three of which involved fatalities.
Oconee has averaged 180 wrecks per month for the past 18 months leading up to August of this year.
