Lubbock, TX : Danya Minter, 42, died after the car colliding with a truck on Slaton Highway Friday morning, May 20, 2016

One person died Friday morning after the car she was in ran a red light, colliding with a truck in the 6200 block of I-27, according to LPD.

Police report a pickup was northbound on 6200 I-27 and the driver of a sedan, eastbound on Slaton Highway, ran a red light and collided with the pickup.

The driver of the sedan suffered moderate injuries, and the passenger, Danya Minter, 42, died at the hospital, according to LPD. The driver of the pickup was not injured.

The Lubbock Police Accident Investigation Team was called to the scene and is investigating the crash.
