RIVIERA BEACH, FL : Four-vehicle crash in Riviera Beach leaves several seriously injured on Saturday, 25th January, 2020

Several people were injured in a four-vehicle crash late Saturday night in Riviera Beach, a city spokeswoman confirmed.

Four of the injured were transported to hospitals by helicopter. Three were taken to St. Mary’s Trauma Center in West Palm Beach and the fourth was taken to the VA Medical Center, also in West Palm Beach.

First responders received a call at 9:39 p.m. that a collision had occurred at the intersection of West Blue Heron Boulevard and Australian Avenue, and that injured persons may have been ejected from their vehicles.

The crash, which involved two cars and two trucks, shut down westbound traffic at President Barack Obama Highway and Blue Heron Boulevard, eastbound traffic at Avenue O and Blue Heron, and northbound traffic at 17th St. and Australian Avenue.

Officials have not released the identities of the crash victims.
