A motorcyclist crashed during a chase in Brunswick County Thursday night.
According to Emily Flax, spokesperson for the Brunswick County Sheriff's Office, the chase was first reported at 4:19 p.m. on US 17 just north of Maco Road.
The chase came to an end when the motorcyclist crashed near the I-140 overpass.
The motorcyclist was transported to New Hanover Regional Medical Center for treatment. Their condition is not known at this time.
We are working to find out more information about what caused the chase and the extent of the motorcyclist's injuries.
