One man was critically injured in a crash after he was ejected at eastbound Interstate 80 near 84th street on Friday afternoon.
Officials say 30-year old Davey Klavins was speeding in a Dodge Caravan while making several lane changes. He attempted to pass a semi-truck and lost control of the vehicle.He drove through southbound lanes, a chain link fence, and ended up in a ditch just after 5 p.m.
The driver was ejected from the car. Police say Klavins was not wearing a seatbelt.
He was transported to CHI Bergan Mercy Hospital in critical condition.
