Brainerd, MN : Three people injured in ATV versus vehicle crash in Pequot Lakes on Tuesday, August 2, 2016

A 7-year-old boy and a 64-year-old woman were hospitalized Tuesday when the all-terrain vehicle they were on was struck by a vehicle on the 33000 block of Winnamakee Shores Road in Pequot Lakes.

The Crow Wing County Sheriff's Office reported a vehicle was northbound on Winnamakee Shores Road when it struck a southbound ATV. Jack Tymen Juffer, 7, was driving the ATV and Arlene Kae Oberbye, 64, Pequot Lakes, was a passenger. Tymen and Oberbye were taken by North Memorial Ambulance to Essentia Health-St. Joseph's Medical Center in Brainerd to be treated for injuries.

The driver of the vehicle, Carole Ann Kahnert, 65, Lakeville, also was taken to the hospital for injuries. The sheriff's office reported alcohol was detected in Kahnert's system.

The crash was reported at 8:02 p.m.
