Montgomery, AL : A Century woman died after a car crash on Monday, July 17, 2017

A Century woman died on Monday morning after a car crash on State Road 4.

Emmie Wilson, 77, was stopped at a stop sign facing south on Campbell Road at the intersection with State Road 4 at about 9:30 a.m., according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

A second vehicle, driven by Christopher Mooney, 38, of Mobile, Alabama, was traveling west on the highway approaching Campbell Road. Wilson went south through the intersection, causing a collision between the two vehicles, according to police.Both vehicles left the road and went into a ditch.

Wilson died of her injuries, and Mooney suffered minor injuries in the crash.

According to FHP, charges are pending further investigation.
