Columbus, OH : One person died in a multi-vehicle crash on Interstate 71 in Columbus on Friday, May 20, 2016

Police are investigating a multi-vehicle crash on Interstate 71 in Columbus that has left at least one person dead.

The accident late Friday shut down the southbound lanes of I-71. Police say major traffic backups are occurring.

A semi-truck and several cars are said to have been involved in the crash.
