A 31-year-old Coram man was killed and his wife injured when their car was hit by a drunken driver who fled the scene on foot but was caught by a police officer a short time later, police said.
The fatal crash occurred at 5:10 p.m. Sunday on Route 112 near Sagamore Hills Drive in Port Jefferson Station, Suffolk County police said.
