Beaumont, TX : Three Beaumont firefighters injured after head-on car collision in New Mexico on Monday August 29, 2016

Three off-duty Beaumont firefighters where involved in a head-on collision near Gallup, N.M., early Monday morning, according to Beaumont Fire and Rescue District Chief Scott Wheat.
The firefighters were traveling to an extra job when a driver crossed the center lane and struck their vehicle head-on, said Wheat.
According to Wheat, one firefighter was air lifted to a Santa Fe hospital and has been undergoing surgery as of this morning.
He added that the other two firefighters were treated for minor injuries at local hospitals near Gallup.
Officials will release more information as it becomes available.
