Mendon,VT : Three people were injured on July, Friday 21th 2017

Three people were injured Friday morning in a head-on collision on Route 4.

Vermont State Police said Emily Baker, 33, of Proctor, was driving west in a 2002 Saab 95 at around 11 a.m. when she went over the center line by about a foot near Medway Road.

Police said Baker ran head-on into the 2009 Ford pickup driven by Brenda Mattison, 48, of Mendon. Passengers in the truck were listed as Stanley Mattison, 52, of Rutland, and an unnamed 16-year-old.

The truck spun out of control and came to a rest in the eastbound lane, police said, while the Saab came to a rest in the westbound brake lane.

Police said Baker suffered neck back and arm injuries. Brenda Mattison and one of her passengers suffered head and chest injuries, according to police, and the three were taken along with Baker to Rutland Regional Medical Center.
