A Leesville woman died Thursday in a head-on crash on U.S. 178 in Lexington County.
Lexington County Coroner Margaret Fisher said Brenda Dodgens, 62, died after her Ford SUV, traveling east, crossed the center line and struck a tractor-trailer traveling westbound on U.S. 178/Fairview Road. Dodgens was wearing her seat belt at the time of the crash, but died on the scene.
Lance Cpl. Matt Southern said the driver of the tractor-trailer was also wearing a seat belt and was not injured.
Highway Patrol's MAIT Team is investigating.
An autopsy is scheduled for Friday to determine Dodgens' cause of death.
