Ketchum, ID : Bellevue woman killed, man injured in Forest Service road crash on Saturday, August 6, 2016

A Bellevue woman was killed and a Bellevue man was flown to a Boise hospital after the two rolled off of an embankment Saturday on a Forest Service road north of Fairfield.

According to Idaho State Police, Martin Quispe, 75, was westbound in a 1994 Ford F-150 around 6:30 p.m. on Forest Service Road 10 in the Fairfield Ranger District with his passenger, Ayde Quispe, 53, when he failed to negotiate a curve in the road, rolling the Ford off of an embankment.

Police say the truck came to rest upright nearly 125 feet from the road.
Neither Martin nor Ayde Quispe were wearing seatbelts and Ayde Quispe died at the scene.

Martin Quispe was flown via helicopter to St. Alphonsus hospital in Boise, where he was treated and released.
The crash is still under investigation.
