Tucson,AZ : Serious injury pedestrian collision shuts down 12th Avenue travel on January, Thursday 4th 2018

Both lanes of travel along a portion of 12th Avenue reopened after a collision left one pedestrian seriously injured on Thursday night.

At 7:45 p.m., Public Information Officer Sgt. Pete Dugan said that there were serious injuries from the collision.

Tucson police blocked off the 12th Avenue roadway between Drexel Road and Canada Street due to the investigation of the incident.


Police investigators said the pedestrian, who was seriously injured, was not in the crosswalk at the time of the collision.

The driver stayed at the scene and was not cited by police, Dugan said. Both directions of travel reopened around 9:30 p.m.
