Lockhart,TX : MAN KILLED IN MOTORCYCLE ACCIDENT on May, Sunday 29th 2018

A 39-year-old Marble Falls man was killed Sunday afternoon when his motorcycle struck the back of an SUV outside Dale, according to Texas Department of Public Safety reports.
John Joseph Grigar IV was driving a 2008 Ducati on FM 1854 at 4:20 p.m. Sunday a half mile southeast of Dale when he rear ended a 2002 Chevrolet Suburban traveling approximately 40 mph that was being driven by 68-year-old Dale resident Russell Ray Barber, according to DPS reports.
The speed limit on that stretch of road is 55 mph, Sgt. Robbie Barrera with the Texas Department of Public Safety said.
Investigators at the scene said that the rider of the bike had failed to control his speed, contributing to the crash, according to reports. No arrests were made and no suspicion of alcohol consumption or any other circumstances were mentioned in the report.
Grigar was pronounced dead at the scene by Precinct 4 Justice of the Peace Raymond Deleon.
