ST. LOUIS COUNTY,MO : Wrong-way crash in north St. Louis County kills woman, injures 2 on July, Tuesday 11th 2017

A woman was killed Tuesday afternoon when an oncoming SUV on Lucas and Hunt Road crossed into her lane and hit her car head-on.

Regina Jones, 52, was pronounced dead at the scene of the wrong-way crash just after 1 p.m. on Lucas and Hunt just north of Interstate 70.

The driver of the SUV and the driver of a second northbound vehicle the SUV hit, both men, were also injured in the crash, according to a Missouri Highway Patrol crash report.

Jones was northbound on Lucas and Hunt in a 1997 Nissan Sentra when a southbound 2002 Chevrolet Trailblazer crossed into the lane and hit her head-on, according to the report. The SUV also hit a northbound 2009 Cadillac SRX head-on.

The driver of the SUV, a 35-year-old male, was taken to a hospital in serious condition. He was not wearing a seatbelt.

The driver of the Cadillac suffered minor injuries. He and Jones were both wearing seatbelts.

All three crash victims lived in the St. Louis area, according to the crash report.
