Cameron, WI : Man died after a two-car crash in Barron County on Tuesday afternoon, August 2, 2016

A man died Tuesday afternoon after a two-car crash in Barron County.

The crash occurred at 1:19 p.m. at Highway 8 and 20th Street south of Cameron. Preliminary investigation shows one vehicle was traveling south on 20th from a stop sign and the driver apparently failed to see a vehicle traveling west on Highway 8, according to Barron County Sheriff Chris Fitzgerald. Each vehicle had one occupant.

The crash caused the closure of the eastbound lanes of Highway 8.

No further details were immediately available, and the names of the people involved were not released pending notification of family.
