Brentwood, CA : Brentwood car crash death on Fairview Avenue near Central Avenue on Saturday, 15th February, 2020

A male driver was fatally injured in a solo crash early Saturday evening, Brentwood police said.

Police were called to the scene at 5:09 p.m. after a report that a vehicle had struck a tree on Fairview Avenue near Central Avenue. A 23-year-old male driver, the vehicle’s only occupant, was found trapped and unresponsive and had to be extricated, according to police.

The man was pronounced deceased at the scene. His name is being held pending notification of family.

Preliminary investigation suggests no other vehicles were involved and alcohol does not appear to be a factor, police said.
