Clarksburg, W.V : Two people injured after Bridgeport crash on Monday, August 1, 2016

Two people were taken to United Hospital Center after a crash about 3:15 p.m. Monday on West Main Street in Bridgeport.

A male driving a black Chrysler Sebring eastbound on U.S. 50 near the intersection with WesBanco across from Home Depot, when it occurred, Bridgeport Officer J.M. Holley said.

“Witnesses said the Sebring did not stop at the red light and went through the intersection and struck a silver Mazda 3 in the driver’s side, coming out of WesBanco,” Holley said.

The driver of Sebring and the pregnant female driver of the Mazda were both transported to the hospital, he said.

The male driver was issued citation for running a red light, Holley said.

Bridgeport Fire and EMS and Anmoore EMS also responded.
