Pratt, KS : Two men were injured in a two-vehicle accident on April, Saturday 22nd 2017

Two men were injured in a two-vehicle accident morning about a mile west of Cullison on U.S. 54.
The accident occurred when an eastbound 2014 Dodge Big Horn pickup for APAC Shears, driven by 29-year-old Matthew Unruh of Fowler, went left of center and sideswiped a westbound 2016 Freightliner delivery truck driven by 27-year-old Pablo Mercado of Wichita, said Pratt County Sheriff Jimmy White.
The delivery truck slid sideways down the highway then flipped over on its side and skidded across the highway coming to a stop on the eastbound shoulder. The pickup continued east in the westbound lane then slid across the highway and came to a stop upright on the eastbound shoulder, White said.
Pratt County EMS transported Mercado the Pratt Regional Medical Center. Unruh refused transport but was later taken to the hospital by private vehicle. Both were treated and released.
Both were wearing seat belts at the time of the accident that was reported at 6:15 a.m. on April 19.
The Freightliner was a Pella commercial vehicle and had to be unloaded before it could be uprighted. Traffic was routed around the accident for over two hours until the scene could be cleared. Pratt County Rescue and Kansas Department of Transportation assisted at the scene.
