Cape Coral, FL : Two Cape police officers injured after crash on Tuesday, August 30, 2016

Two police officers out of Cape Coral were transported to Lee Memorial Hospital after a crash.

It happened on northbound Tropicana and Santa Barbara Boulevards Tuesday at 11:44 a.m.

A representative of the Florida Highway Patrol said the crash caused significant damage.

The driver of the car that hit them was sent to the Cape Coral Hospital with minor injuries.

The crash remains under investigation.
