Houston, TX : Man dies following head-on vehicle crash in northeast Harris County on Sunday, August 21, 2016

Authorities have identified a man who died following a head-on crash along U.S. 90 in northeast Harris County.

The two-vehicle wreck happened around 8:20 p.m. Sunday in the 13500 block of Beaumont Highway near Royalwood, according to the Harris County Sheriff's Office.

Jesus Bermejo-Alvarado was driving a 2005 Honda Accord eastbound on the roadway when he failed to maintain a single lane of traffic on a slight curve. Bermejo-Alvarado crossed into oncoming traffic and slammed into a Dodge Ram 1500.

He died at the scene. No information was released about other possible injuries.
Deputies are still investigating the crash
