MONROE CITY, MO : 21-year-old Monroe City man killed in crash on Sunday, 31st March 2019

A 21-year old Monroe City man was killed in a one-car crash Sunday.

Jacob T. Parrish was driving a 2016 Polaris Razor UTV on Monroe County Road 390, about one mile west of Monroe City. Parrish attempted to turn around and went into a skid, overturned and was ejected from the vehicle. The vehicle came to rest on top of Parrish, a Missouri Highway Patrol report said.

Parrish was pronounced dead at the scene.

The crash occurred at 10:45 a.m.

A passenger in the vehicle, Robert E. Crabtree, 22, sustained minor injuries and was treated at the scene by Monroe County Ambulance.

Neither Parrish or Crabtree were wearing a safety device.

Also assisting at the scene were Monroe City Police, Monroe County Sheriff's Department and the Monroe City Fire Department.
