Deadly Crash on East Brainerd Road

A crash on East Brainerd Road claims a life Tuesday night.It happened around 7 pm near the 9300 block of East Brainerd, near Banks Road.

Hamilton County Sheriff's Department spokeswoman Janice Atkinson said 83-year-old Howard Taylor was killed when his 2006 Jeep Cherokee collided with a 1985 Toyota pickup truck driven by 19-year-old Christopher Denton.

Denton was flown from the crash scene by the LifeForce helicopter.
Investigators have not said what might have caused the accident.
