Green Valley, AZ : 4 killed in wrong-way collision on Interstate 19 near Green Valley on Sunday, 5th May 2019

Four people were killed early Sunday morning when a wrong-way driver crashed into another vehicle on Interstate 19 near Green Valley.

Officials with the Arizona Department of Public Safety said the driver of a Chevy Camaro was traveling south in the northbound lanes around 12:45 a.m. when she crashed head-on into a Nissan Sentra containing a mother and her three children.

The collision killed the wrong-way driver — a 52-year-old woman who remains unidentified — as well as the mother and two of the children. Officials said one of the children was airlifted to a Banner University Medical Center location with life-threatening injuries.
