Stillwater, OK : Two injured in single-vehicle wreck on Sunday, January, 21st 2018

Two 22-year-olds from Stillwater were admitted to different hospitals early Sunday morning after the vehicle they were in, a 1999 Ford Explorer, rolled "an undetermined number of times" in a single-vehicle collision west of Stillwater.

The driver, Patience Sartor, told an Oklahoma Highway Patrol Trooper that an animal ran out in front of her vehicle, causing her to swerve left to avoid it. The trooper's report goes on to say that the Explorer was heading westbound on Highway 51 at about 2:45 a.m. Sunday, and as it was just west of city limits, the vehicle entered the center median and rolled before coming to rest on its wheels in the highway's eastbound lanes.

Sartor was treated for head and internal chest injuries at Stillwater Medical Center before she was released, according to the report. Her passenger, Micah Hopkins, was taken to SMC before being transferred to St. John Medical Center in Tulsa for head, leg and internal chest injuries. Hopkins was not wearing his seatbelt at the time of the collision, according to the trooper's report.
