Reading, PA : Fleetwood man dies in motor vehicle accident in Richmond Twp. on Sunday, January 22, 2017

A Fleetwood man was fatally injured when his SUV rolled over in Richmond Township, police said Sunday.

Fleetwood police, who also patrol the township, identified the victim as Roderick Kendricks Jr., 30.

The accident occurred in the 700 block of Fleetwood Lyons Road.

According to police:

A passer-by noticed a silver SUV on its side in a field next to the road and called police about 6:50 a.m. Sunday. It was unclear when the accident occurred.

Kendricks apparently lost control of his eastbound vehicle, which veered into the westbound lane before ending up in the field, where it rolled.

He was not wearing a seat belt.

The coroner’s office said Kendricks was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident and died of injuries sustained in the crash.

No autopsy is scheduled.
