Detroit Lakes, MN : Three injured in rear-end crash near Detroit Lakes on Sunday, August 14, 2016

Three people were injured in a rear-end collision near here Sunday, Aug. 14.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, a Ford Escape driven by Jason Bristlin, 49, of Hawley, was stopped on Highway 59 to make a left turn around 3 p.m. when it was hit by a Volkswagon Beetle driven by Roberta Tallman, 59, of Detroit Lakes.

Tallman, Bristlin and his passenger, Kelly Bristlin of Virginia Beach, Va., were all taken to Essentia Health-St. Mary's Hospital in Detroit Lakes to be treated for non-life threatening injuries.

All three were wearing their seatbelts at the time of the crash.
