SWEET HOME, OR : 35-year-old Linn County man died in motorcycle wreck on Tuesday, 15th May 2018

A 35-year-old Linn County man died early Tuesday morning when the Suzuki motorcycle he was riding went off Mountain View Road and crashed into a hillside north of Ames Creek Road.

Sgt. Jason Ogden of the Sweet Home Police Department said the crash occurred about 6:19 a.m.

The man was headed north on Mountain View toward Sweet Home Junior High School, Ogden said.

No other vehicles were involved and a passerby reported he incident to law enforcement.

The name of the deceased was not released pending notification of next of kin, Ogden said.

It is unknown what caused the crash.

The intersection of Mountain View Road and Ames Creek Road was closed for several hours while the Sweet Home Police Department, Oregon State Police and Linn County Sheriff’s Office investigated the accident.
