FORT WALTON BEACH, FL : 7 vehicles damaged in Cinco Bayou Bridge crash on Wednesday, 19th September 2018

An out-of control Chevy Silverado collided with seven vehicles in the southbound lanes of Cinco Bayou Bridge about 9:30 a.m. Wednesday.The Silverado, driven by 60-year-old James Higman of Shalimar, was traveling south on the outside lane of Eglin Parkway across the Cinco Bayou Bridge. As he approached Yacht Club Drive, his brakes failed, according to a crash report from Florida Highway Patrol.
Higman rear ended a Chevy Traverse driven by Anita Godwin, 54, of Fort Walton Beach. He then crossed into other lanes and ran into the east concrete barrier on the bridge.
His truck continued south and ran into the rear of a Nissan Rouge driven by Gregory Gresham, 37, of Hampton, Georgia.
