A 35-year-old St. Charles man died Aug. 6 in a rollover crash near Route 64 and Fabris Road in Virgil Township, according to a news release from the Kane County Sheriff's Office.

Sheriff's office deputies were dispatched about 2:10 a.m. to the scene of the crash, where it appeared neither the driver or front-seat passenger of the rolled-over 2015 Volkswagen Tiguan SUV were wearing seat belts, and they may have been ejected from the vehicle, the release stated.

Front-seat passenger, David Drewes, was pronounced dead at the scene. Driver Sean Tardy, 39, of Maple Park, was initially taken to Kiskwaukee Hospital by Maple Park EMS but later flown to Rockford Memorial Hospital with serious injuries, the release stated.
