A driver is facing multiple charges after crashing a vehicle into a Subway restaurant in Boston while attempting to flee Brookline police, according to officials.

Brookline police say that one of their officers saw a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed at about 1:20 a.m. Sunday as it failed to stop for a red light at the intersection of Beacon and Kent streets.
