Elburn, IL : Man died in motorcycle crash in Fabyan Parkway on Wednesday,10th August,2016

Geneva police have identified the man who died in an Aug. 10 motorcycle crash on Fabyan Parkway as Dale P. Slaughter, 61, of the 1000 block of Windemere Lane, Aurora.

The crash occurred at 4:36 p.m. Witnesses told police that Slaughter, riding a black 2006 Harley Davidson, was westbound on Fabyan approaching the golf course intersection just west of Kingsland Drive when he failed to stop for a pickup truck that was exiting the golf course and turning onto Fabyan Parkway, the release stated.

Slaughter, who was not wearing a helmet, was ejected from the motorcycle and landed in the roadway, the release stated.

After he was transported to Delnor, police were notified that Slaughter had died of his injuries, the release stated.

The driver of the pickup, a red Chevrolet Silverado, was a 62-year-old man from South Elgin who refused emergency medical treatment, the release stated.

The accident continues to be investigated by the Kane County Accident Reconstruction team and Geneva police, the release stated.

Due to the ongoing investigation, police will not speculate whether drugs or alcohol were contributing factors in the crash, the release stated.
