Bluefield, WA : Police investigating fatal ATV accident in McDowell County on Saturday, 13th August, 2016

A 72-year-old Jolo, W.Va. man was killed in an ATV accident in McDowell County this afternoon.

West Virginia State Trooper J.C. Woods identified the victim as Everett D. McKinney.

Woods said the ATV was traveling along Bug Hurley Road, near Three Forks, when McKinney lost control and crashed at about 4 p.m.

McKinney was pronounced dead at the scene, he said, and it is undetermined if alcohol or drugs were a factor in the crash.

Woods is continuing his investigation.
