1 killed, 1 injured in Chatsworth armored truck crash

One person was killed and another critically injured in Chatsworth Thursday afternoon when a delivery truck collided with an armored truck.
The accident was reported at 1:53 p.m. near Chatsworth Street and DeSoto Avenue, according to Brian Humphrey, a spokesman for the Los Angeles Fire Department.Humphrey said preliminary reports indicated the delivery truck rear-ended the armored vehicle, but the Los Angeles Police Department is investigating.The driver of the delivery truck was declared dead at the scene, and the passenger was briefly trapped before firefighters were able to extricate the critically injured person.
The passenger was transported to an area hospital for treatment.
No details on the people involved in the collision were immediately available.The driver and passenger of the armored truck had very minor injuries and refused treatment.
