Topeka,KS: Two-vehicle crash in Jefferson County sends woman to Topeka hospital on October, Tuesday 31th 2017

A McLouth woman was transported to a Topeka hospital after a two-vehicle crash Tuesday afternoon in southwestern Jefferson County.

The incident was reported at 4:14 p.m. on Highway 24 at Barton Road, about four miles east of Topeka, according to the Kansas Highway Patrol.

Gary Marsh, 72, of Lawrence, was driving eastbound on Highway 24. Judith Mcaferty, 63, was also headed eastbound and was behind Marsh. He made a left turn in front of her and was struck.

Mcaferty was taken to Stormont Vail Hospital with injuries. Marsh wasn’t injured.

Both were wearing their seat belts, KHP said.
