Sacramento,CA : Multi-vehicle crash on East Highway 24 slows down rush hour traffic on January, Friday 5th 2018

A multi-vehicle accident on eastbound Highway 24 closed three lanes during rush hour on Friday.

A little after 5 p.m. on Friday, a blue Honda Civic allegedly driving recklessly on the shoulder of Highway 24 clipped another vehicle near the Broadway exit, according to California Highway Patrol.

The Honda Civic struck one vehicle and multiple stopped vehicles and debris blocked the left three lanes and traffic backed up to the Interstate 580 junction.

All lanes were reopened at 6:50 p.m.
