County police and fire officials say three people were injured in an accident in Riva on Tuesday night.
Fire officials said they responded to a call around 7:15 p.m. for a crash near Riva Road and Beards Point Road. Three people were injured, one of which was a 57-year-old man transported to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore by helivac, according to Lt. Cliff Kooser, fire department spokesman.
Police said Riva Road remains blocked in both directions between Governor’s Bridge and Beards Point roads, and they have not determined when the road will reopen.
