A driver was transported to the hospital following a one-vehicle crash on North Main Street early Friday morning.
According to a post on the Deerfield Police Department’s Facebook page, the Deerfield Police Department, South Deerfield Fire Department and South County EMS were alerted to the crash near 106 North Main St. at 3:41 a.m.
The man driving was able to climb out of the blue pickup truck and walk to the ambulance, the post reads, and was transported for further treatment.
According to the post, Deerfield Police Officer Tyler Hersom determined the vehicle was traveling at a high rate of speed and failed to safely negotiate the turn.
The Fire Department assisted in cleaning up debris.
