Watertown Township, MI : Potterville man killed in crash near Lansing's Capital Region International Airport Thursday, August 4, 2016

A Potterville man died Thursday after a three-vehicle crash near Lansing's Capital Region International Airport.

Robert Slocum, 37, was riding a motorcycle westbound on West Grand River Avenue near the intersection with Airport Road at about 2:30 p.m., said Sgt. Jeff Clark of the Clinton County Sheriff's Office.

The motorcycle collided with an eastbound vehicle that was attempting to turn north, then struck another vehicle that was in the turn lane, Clark said.

Slocum was transported to a hospital, where he later died, Clark said. The occupants of the passenger vehicles were not injured, according to the sheriff's office.

The crash remains under investigation, he said.
