Beckley, WV : One airlifted to hospital after wreck in Raleigh County on Monday, December, 4th 2017

One man was airlifted to a hospital after a wreck Monday morning near the Sandstone exit on I-64, Raleigh County emergency dispatchers confirmed.

Dispatchers said the wreck was reported at 8:38 a.m., and took place near mile marker 135 in the westbound lane of I-64.

Beaver Volunteer Fire Department and Best Ambulance Services responded to the scene, along with West Virginia State Police who notified the Public Service Commission.

Dispatchers said the wreck involved a tractor trailer and another vehicle.

Public Service Commission officials have not provided details of the wreck or the names of people involved.

Dispatchers reported the scene was cleared at 10:09 a.m.
