Mobile, AL : Two killed after speeding car veers off road, hits oak tree on Monday night, November 10, 2014

Two people were pronounced dead at the scene of a single car accident on Monday night after a driver apparently overcorrected while speeding down Halls Mill Road, according to the Mobile Police Department. Around 9 p.m. officers responded to a collision with injuries on Halls Mill Road at Darwood Drive, said police spokesman Officer Terence Perkins. An unidentified 35-year-old man was driving a 1999 Honda CR-V when he veered off the roadway and struck a large oak tree, Perkins said. He and his passenger, a 34-year-old woman, died in the collision. Investigators believe speed was the main factor which caused the crash. Perkins said alcohol may have also been a factor. Neither the man or the woman was wearing a seat belt when they crashed. Source : 2 killed after speeding car veers off road, hits oak tree, Mobile police say
